Classical liberalism VS Libertarianism (and confusion on the labels).

Libertarians deal more with the issue of property and taxation. Classical liberals have more of the view of the free-market and the limited government intervention. That’s more of where I stand.

I don’t really agree with all the arguments that libertarians give… I agree with most of it but not all of it. I understand what they say I just have a different point of view.

I looked at the wikipedia entry of the two terms

Here:
http://en.wikipedia…/Libertarianism

and

here

http://en.wikipedia…ical_liberalism

I found that a lot of the texts that I’ve been studying under www.mises.org were actually classical liberal texts. What is the main difference between the two?

I’m sorry about my previous post where I just went out on the theory of property. It’s just that I really don’t understand the main differences between the two.

Can you help me understand them?

You can’t have a free market without a concepton of property.

I just am confused about what’s different between the two labels. I’m sorry if this thread seemed like an attack on libertarianism. I just don’t know the major differences between the two. I would like to know them first. I like the libertarian ideology. It’s just that I don’t know the main differences between these two.

Wait I just found out from someone else on another forum that they are the same but they differ in how they view rights. Can someone tell me a brief history about this? I’m sorry if my understanding on the issues isn’t complete.
