This is great news! Of course, this is a US government court, so nothing of any real substance will ever happen, the Elites will make sure their own are taken care of. But even as a token move, it’s still great news!

This is quite strange though.
(1) Did Rumsfeld order these men to be arrested?; and (2) were they actually tortured?
The actual answers to these questions seems to be a “No” and “No” … the courts are taking the position assuming they were true … at least, as far as I am aware.
This seems to be more of a tactful attempt to get at Rumsfeld …
LOL - you neocons are so predictable. If we’re talking about a non-State individual - such as the men in this lawsuit - they are to be assumed guilty on the government’s say-so. But we’re talking about a State individual - such as Rumsfeld - then we are not only to assume that they are innocent but we are not even to ask that their innocence be put to trial since this would require assuming that they might not be innocent!

Clayton, as much as I’d like to see Rumsfeld tried for treason, I do not think this can get anywhere. There is a bureaucracy in place to prevent the ‘top dogs’ from getting fingered on anything that they might sign of on.
Nancy Pelsoi and Jay Rockefeller (among others) both signed off on waterboarding and were actual described the practice of the method, so we can actually trace their signatures directly to the operations that were conducted.
One person can’t go down if several bureaucracies are involved in it. Big government, huh? haha
Let’s see…Nancy Pelosi goes from signing off on torturing people and then turns around to sell children’s books? Can you say sociopath(!?!?). And Rockefeller…wouldn’t one guess that they would (still) be making decisions in all our names.
Bush, Yu, Ashcroft, and Cheney are even more culpable and could be tried for treason.
Not to mention the FED chairmen and some of the senators and all those that participate in espionage rings for other countries…
