Let’s say Crusoe relies heavily on apple trees grown in the island. He picks only the fruits he needs for the day because he knows that the fruits will be there tomorrow as well. However one day an enrepreneur comes to the island. He fences most of the island and collects all the apples. Do you think that’s aggression? Does Crusoe have property rights over all (or most) apple trees on the islands? If he does, then what about Friday who comes to the island? Does he need to ask permission from Crusoe to take apples anywhere?
If Crusoe voluntarily agreed to sell the entrepreneur then it’s the entrepreneur’s. I’m neo-lockean so I would agree Crusoe had ownership of that tree BUT if he voluntarily agreed to sell it theres no problem.
Friday can make an agreement. He can pick apples if he agrees to give Crusoe a share.
It’s a trick question. Obviously, any arrangement between the two constitutes civilization, and we all know how civilization is inherently agressive.
