Since the recent upgrade, allowing people to petition to be a “friend” is no longer the default option.
So instead of being able to befriend new members, and likewise for new members to befriend established members, the whole friendship thing has gone in the crapper.
The friendship function is one of the redeeming features of this software (Community Server).
Please set the default back to allowing friends. Most people have no idea that it has been turned off for them, and already 1000s of members have had it turned off without any notification that their profile has altered.
Yes. You can follow what other people are up to, and likewise they can see what you are up to.
Like if Nitroadict comments on a blog, I can see that he did that, and likewise if Irenicus or Juan reply to a thread I know they did that too. I might be interested to see Nitro’s comment, or to read the blog entry because he was interested.
Now with the wikis, it will be handy to see who is doing what with Wikis and participating with them.
I spend a lot of time looking at my Community page, so being able to follow my friends is helpful, instead of randomely looking for threads to participate in.
