When watching this interview with Marc Faber by Bloomberg TV, the host commented that “…our viewers tend to be fairly Austrian…” First, this is just another great sign that the Austrian School is gaining steam and becoming much more well know and mainstream; the host said it so flippantly as if he would have said “the Chicago School.” So is the Austrian School really that well known among the general investing public and second, do Austrians really favor Bloomberg TV over CNBC or Fox Business?
I think I’m starting to lean that way as well. Only thing I would really miss is high def sporting events, but I think I could live without it. ESPN3.com is a good service for that. You certainly don’t need TV for news, you don’t need it for sitcoms or movies (torrents / Netflix / Hulu), you don’t need it for news (plethora of newspapers print online as well as bloggers, etc.), you don’t need it for music videos, and you don’t need it for things like TLC or the History Channel’s worthless programming.
