Not necessarily food, but some crop types within agriculture, yes. John Stossel did an episode on it.
One could argue that, given the inefficient nature of biofuels which must be heavily subsidized to be remotely marketable, the diversion of mass amounts of food toward fuel use is “the government paying farmers to destroy food”.
