With 1 in 6 from benefits if you add the salaries and benefits of Federal State and Local, and then toss in income from government debt and government contracts then I would guess more than half of all US income is now from the govs. I am probably leaving out stuff like student loans, postal service.

I would say half is a pretty good guess.
