Does this hurt us: Kid tackles police officer dragging suspect

This incident occurred during the 2008 RNC in St Paul. While I applaud the effort, I wonder if this does more to damage the aims of people championing the efforts to fractionalize and oppose the state.

For the few who were there it may have been a positive thing, but as a whole I think this kind of behavior hurts us in the long run. Especially as the context is not clear.

A policeman just came to my door about my dog, and he asked for my full name…He said it was just standard procedure. but anyway that kid has balls for one, but it does come off as bad as people see “anarchists” as violent ramblerousers who are just “kids”. If you know what I mean.

I think it shows that you don’t have to be cowwed by the thugs in blue. That they’re subject to the same laws as everyone.

I feel it is perfectly healthy in a movement to have a wide range of severity. Sure if it was Walter Block tackling the guy, it would do more harm than good. But if some soul is brave enough to treat a police officer as he should be treated (as just another person, who, if he is committing illegitimate violence against another person’s body or property, deserves to be repelled with violence), then so be it. In the coming collapse, the police state is going to get progressively more oppressive. We will need to get progressively bolder in our opposition to it.

Typical response.

One guy comes and tackles you and then you just spray blindly into the surrounding crowd hoping to get the perpetrator.

I’m glad somebody is finally standing up to the organized thugs.
