Recently in a used book store I purchased the book “Egoists: A Book of Supermen” by famous American music critic James Huneker, written in 1909.
The book does a wonderful job of summing up biographies and thoughts/art of the egoists:
Henry Beyle-Stendhal, French poet/critic Charles Baudelaire, French author Gustave Flaubert, French author Anatole France, French author Joris-Karl Huysmans, French Author/political activist Maurice Barres, German Philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, Ernest Hello, William Blake, Norweigen playwright Henrik Ibsen, and German Philosopher Max Stirner (this is the best biography of Stirner I have come across, being that I can’t read German).
The book is a good overview and introduction to more individualistic continental thought and art and certainly worth buying if the book is reasonably priced and interested in the subject. If one really wishes I can probably copy any part of the book you wish and let you read it that way, as it may be a difficult book to find.
