I have some questions about Bohm-Bawerk’s works.

First off, how the heck do you pronounce his last name (I’ve never heard it pronounced, so in my mind I’ve been pronouncing it “bo-ahm-ba-work”)?

Now, I have his “Basic Principles of Economic Value” (tho have not tackled it).

I know is ‘magnus opus’ is the 3 volume “Capital & Interest”. There are 2 english editions, the 3 volume hardbound edition from Libertarian Press and the 3 volume paperback edition from LvMI. What is the difference between the 2, and which is the best one to get? I assume they are different english translations, so one is probably better then the other.

Also, there are 2 other works that I’m a little confused about. There is the “Shorter Classics” work from Libertarian Press (marked as ‘volume 1’, which means they planned, at least at one time, to have additional volume(s)). There is also the work “Karl Marx and the Close of His System” (not sure who published this). But it seems from some lists I’ve seen that this work is contained in the “Shorter Classics” work. Is there any value to getting this work if one gets the “Shorter Classics” volume, or is there additional material in this volume NOT in the “Shorter Classics” volume.

I’ve always heard his name pronounced (pseudo-phonetically): Oy-gen bom-ba-verk (the bolded syllables are emphasized).

I’m not familiar enough with his works to answer the rest.
