Government pushing big pharma is not enough. It must help take out the alternative medicine competition. It must slowly outlaw real healthcare. Vitamins and nutrional supplements.
“the FDA has notified a manufacturer of injectable vitamin C that it will be criminally prosecuted if it continues to manufacture this lifesaving nutritional therapy. (http://www.anh-usa.org/action-alert…)”
Of course, sending these letters to FDA bureaucrats assumes that they give a damn about human health in the first place, and after observing the FDA’s behavior over the last several years, I can confidently state that the FDA’s own actions betray its real agenda: To protect the profits of the drug companies by eliminating competing products such as vitamin C.
Bolding theirs.
I’m going slightly off topic here but my seething hatred for the FDA prompted me to write this.
While I appreciate the point of this article and the first part of the sentence quoted is somewhat true (from experience), the bolded part is ridiculous. First: the profits of the drug companies at present are primarily derived from having a monopoly on the drug (i.e. patent); Second: Arguably the drug may not exist if not for the patent because the barrier to entry is set so ridiculously high (i.e. many millions of dollars for clinical trials outside of R&D costs); Third: it’s hard to blame the companies for less than saint-like behavior in trying to get drugs prescribed when it is very likely necessary in order to profit in the first place.
Bottom-line: The FDA hinders development, but, more importantly, it incentivizes the shady practice of many companies that people then ask the FDA to stop (guh). Lastly, their concern over human health is at best theater as I know from personal experience that giving them what they want is far more important for being permitted to sell the product than giving the patient what they need.
End rant. Sometimes I want to write a full article about just how irrational the FDA is from a first hand perspective–their stated intent is noble but the means are often counteractive.
I agree, but then again naturalnews makes up for injecting opinions in their articles by having so much other good info published when so many pother sources don’t have any.
My doctor cured himself of end-stage malaria by injecting himself alternately with vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and baking soda until he nearly blacked out. None of his doctor friends would do the procedure for him, so he had to borrow an IV machine and do it himself at home. The parasite couldn’t surivive the rapid change in pH from extremely acidic to extremely basic. It worked, but nearly killed him.
Megavitamin therapy gets a bad rap probably from the people who use it and don’t know what they’re doing. I take huge doses of vitamins C, D, and B12 for example, but my doctor constantly adjusts the doses and knows how everything interacts so I won’t hurt myself.
At least it will be a while, I think, before they outlaw pills.
I know you aren’t asking me but the one thing I do self-prescribe is L-Lysine whenever I get a cold sore–placebo or no, I’ve experienced a notable decrease in the time I have an “active” sore.
I just take lots of pills: 4,000mg vitamin C as ascorbyl palmitate, 10mg vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin, and10,000IU (International Units) vitamin D3 daily. The recommended daily intakes of these vitamins are 60mg, 6 micrograms (1/1,000 of a milligram) and 400IU respectively.
The official recommendations are misleading because they are for healthy people, not for sick people who want to become healthy.
I take 2g of vitamin C and 10k IUs of D a day 5 days a week. I also usually take 1g of E with vitamin C because I remember reading they have a synergistic effect.
I take athletic multivitamins and eat meat every meal, so I’m probably okay on B’s
