Does anyone really feel not-safe on the internet?
it doesn’t matter…at this point the federal government merely needs to go through the motions of just pretending there is a good reason as to why they do anything…then pass the bill giving them more power…
I don’t even think it matters anymore either. If they start controlling the internet and the public finds out about it, I bet it will be the start of some major violence against the government from its citizens.
No.
You don’t think citizens would do anything if they started censoring to internet to make it more neutral and balanced?
I think most citizens would just bitch and moan, not knowing the REAL cause of the problem (Which is too much government power).
The government takes our incomes and gives it to failed banks. They continuously destroy our savings through inflation and set off business cycles. They spy on us when we make telephone calls and write emails. They can detain us indefinitely and torture us. If people haven’t rioted yet, they certainly wont because of this.
I am very surprised that it’s come this far with government control without riots. But I feel that many people are confused as to where their tax dollars go. The people I go to school with assume it’s going into public projects like building roads or something. I would hope that censorship would especially spark outrage because it’s so… direct, I guess you’d say. But then again TARP was pretty direct too, and not much happened to stop it.
