He has announced. Still I am with Ron Paul. The man has the integrity of 30 years plus Johnson seems soft on the empire.
Atleast with his confirmed candidacy we can reply to those liberals who think Obama is the only disappointing but sane choice.

Gary Johnson is an interesting candidate because with the budget-cutting frenzy and with his work in New Mexico, a lot of Tea Partiers and Republicans will be dull enough to completely miss how Paul and Johnson are essentially saying the same things (Johnson will come off as “less radical”). The bottom line is that Johnson is a Reason-Magazine-ite and Paul is a Mises-Institute-ite. Both of these guys expressing their ideas in a Republican primary debate will help out the cause.
Undoubtedly unless one of them causes a fuss like Paul did with Guiliani, the media will be obsessed with the personalities (presumably the Bachman/Palin/Trump circus).
Gary Johnson is a great candidate. I liked that Johnson wasn’t afraid to condemn the drug war at CPAC. Unfortunately, he along with Ron Paul, are the only candidates worth anything. :x
