Anyone want to have a go at critiquing this video?
Not rid of poverty? Lack of capitalism, that’s why.
Mr. Monopoly does nothing? How does he survive if he does not produce? Where did his wealth come from? Mr. Monopoly is resting on a hammock while the other guy is working. I thought the planet represented the beginning of time, when no one was wealthy and that the video would show how wealth is created, but instead a wealthy Mr. Monopoly inexplicably appears.
Over time, Mr. Monopoly has increasing number of moneybags with dollars signs on them appear.
I am not watching any more. This is not a serious video. With such flaws in the beginning, I have a good hunch about how the video reaches its georgist conclusions.
This is actually quite a good video. It fails specifically because there is surplus land on earth charged at higher prices. I think that in a world of infinite land it might be correct but I don’t wish to dwell any further, but simply put, paying to much on piece of land X, move to land Y, even if Y is not of equal value it’s worth what you get in savings.
