Gerard Jackson

I’m curious: does anyone else here read Gerard Jackson (at brookesnews.com)? He seems to be a very dedicated (Australian) Austrian. I rarely see his work linked to at mises.org, which is kind of a shame, because he’s a nonstop defender of the Austrian school, and entertaining to boot.

This may shed some light?

Or maybe not..

Probably because Gerard Jackson is a neo-conservative.

Also, he’s very rude to his intellectual opponents, calling them all kinds of names, so it wouldn’t be a good look if mises.org started running his articles.

I suppose if he cleaned up his act they could run some of his non-foreign policy related stuff.

Ah, I wasn’t aware he was a neo-conservative. :frowning: I guess I haven’t read much of his stuff on foreign policy.

To be fair, doesn’t Reisman have some hawkish beliefs as well? At least that the vibe I’ve gotten.

I’m not sure, I haven’t read much Reisman. But his academic credentials are awesome, so I suppose we can excuse him.

In the same way, I’d still recommend that mises.org publish Thomas Sowell on economics, even though his foreign policy views are wacko.

It’s my understanding that Reisman is an Objectivist (I could be wrong). I have never met an Objectivist who was not hawkish.
