This time with the railways.

The UK must really be broke. Government loves rail for these reasons:

  1. Government can tell citizens where, when and how to travel and what they can bring.

  2. Govenrment gets to steal billions from citizens and give it to their friends in the form of rail projects.

  3. Government gets powerful unions that donate them money and have lots of loyal voters.

  4. Government does not need to worry as much about roads and airports.

  5. Government gets to take high ground in saving the planet.

  6. Government gets to steal property of people around the railways.
