Has there ever been any thought put into publishing Mises Daily articles in hardcover volumes? For example, publishing articles 1 through 500 [obviously this is arbitrary, but it’s meant just to give an example] in one volume, 501 through 1000 in another, et cetera. New articles wouldn’t be published immediately, but it would be a way of physically archiving old articles and making these available to those who prefer to read on paper.
There’s a lot of good information in Mises Daily, and I personally would buy hardcover copies of “back issues”.
You can exclude those which are copyright - there are a few - and any ones the publisher would want to exclude. Personally, I would maintain the ones which are taken from books, since there are books which are really excerpts from different books, so I’m not sure why it would matter in this case. In any case, there are hundreds which are original work and those are definitely worth archiving physically, I think.
This has passed my mind before. You could also break it down into subjects. Like with what’s going on with healthcare you could make a short paperback of about 50 different articles (more or less) on the subject.
A lot of what’s on Mises Daily is worth printing (if not all of it).
That’s like George Reisman’s Capitalism, Mises’ Human Action and Rothbard’s Man, Economy, State put together. Wait a tick…did we just discover a new book that the Mises institute could publish? A combination of these three books? We need a snappy title.
I do agree that having a hard copy version would be nice, but since I don’t have money, I cannot personally buy it. Still, I have been marketing Mises.org, but with little success.
Can that book even be opened into the middle?
