I fond it ironic that this think tank is in honor of Hoover considering his economic policy failures. The only worthwhile fellow I can spot at this institution is Thomas Sowell.
Any fellows there worth giving a listen to? Or is it just a waste of time and effort over there?
What is even more ironic is that Sowell himself has heavily criticised Hoover as the progenitor of early policy experiments that aggravated The Great Depression.
Well, as with many Republicans, we can at least respect Hoover’s rhetoric, particularly once he left office. His purpose in establishing the Institution with Stanford is admirable, and they’ve employed a lot of great people and put out important work. In addition to the above, Russ Roberts, David Henderson, Terry Anderson and Gary Becker are fellows.
