Ya know, I do not smoke. But I respect others free will and right to choose what to do with there bodies, what they see fit, just as they should with there property.

Actually the beloved black market is booming in tobacco. Crack dealers now offer Marlboros at a discount. Tobacco truck drivers are being hi-jacked and killed. Ask most any convienence store clerk for the ‘real cheap cigs’ and they’ll pull up some unstamped off brands for about $2/pack, have seem black market cigs for about $1/pack in other countries also.
Will be interesting to see the bean counters miscalculate their expected revenues again.

Just how much in taxes are you paying on cigarettes? It seems like youre paying more in taxes than for the cigarettes.
Another question is why dont businesses just advertise it as its regular price instead of always taking the price up but only charging us 30 cents tax.

Well, the powers that be, do not feel people have a right to abuse there body. I have to admit, 15 years ago I never would have thought I would see such compliance with the regulations and taxes in place on cigarettes. Cigarette smoking has actually gone down alot. No one believes people can abuse there own bodies and property.
