I just added a “Top Network Members” web part to the Mises.org homepage. Just customize it and add it to the homepage.

If I can repay my debt to this online community in a way or in another, let me know.

I was wondering about this…

I have noticed a certain trolly individual is racking up the points at an alarming rate though since their main objective is to well, to put it bluntly, troll.

Perhaps after a certain number of points we could become immune to the spam filter? Just a thought…

The points system is just a very bad idea.

You’re just saying that because you have a measly 490 points.

Sarcasm gives you 10 points!

Yes, I suggested this to the developers.

If I might an incredibly silly question, why do we have the point system?
And more importantly… do socialist forum’s have the point system? ; )

No reason really, mostly because it was there. I guess it’s weighted towards a labor theory of volume, since it rewards posting activity over user evaluations. I think I will change the “Favorite Post Factor” to 25 and recalculate all the scores to change to a subjective theory of value.

Ah, so you wish to alienate the worker-posters from the surplus value of their posts, uh? :stuck_out_tongue: j/k

x2

Quality > quantity

I think we should write a giant specification for points based on the latest social utility theory. Whether it really works or not is less important than if we can bleed out any fun you have running this site [:P]

Keep the points, add green stamps, have a great day!
