Home school and raise them as libertarians/an-caps/Austrians economists.
Encourage your children to do the same.
I swear to you that this is probably more effective than debating your college professors, your classmates, your local politicians, etc. Btw, I think Peter Schiff might be the most famous example.
You are forgetting one vital thing - kids rebel against their parents. Homeschool them all to be Austrian thinkers and they´ll elope when they are 16 to join a Keynesian reading circle
You’re not weighing out the cost. If Austrians start having families with 10 kids, they don’t have the time to organize meetings, community groups, websites, write books, and so on. They can’t invest in the capital of the movement.
Plus, historically speaking, evangelism is a much more effective activity.
I think we are talking about two different things. I wasn’t supporting the large family idea. I thought you were contesting the idea that having numbers on our side wasn’t enough. Misunderstanding, probably my fault.
Even if it was socialist, so what? Oh, and the point is there would more libertarians/an-caps/AEs.
Good point. What’s the divorce rate among libertarians/an-caps/AEs?
Tom Woods. Ron Paul. No, they don’t have ten kids, but they had big families. Bigger than the 2.4 kids per family average. Also, division of labor. Not everyone can be a Ron Paul, Tom Woods, Walter Block, etc. Some of us may be better at having kids and raising them to be libertarians/an-caps/AEs than at writing books, teaching, etc.
I think Thomas Woods has a child for every book he publishes or publishes a book for every child. [:P]
I remember him saying at an author’s forum. He was talking to Hoppe and said ‘Yea I seem to be having a child for every book I publish’ and Hoppe with his german accent said ‘Ya you can’t keep that going’
And honestly, if we are constantly comparing ourselves with Rothbard then we are never going to meet the mark. Comparing yourself to Rothbard runs dangerously close to engaging in the Nirvana fallacy.
