How would you redesign the the Mises.org homepage? Upload onto this thread your jpg of what the site would look like.
I wish there was a “for beginners” part of the website that gives suggestions for where to start. Expanding upon this idea, there could be an Austrian economics flow chart composed of broad categories. Clicking on one category will expand the flow chart. If the flow chart was fully expanded, it would appear to be a massive spider web. A flow chart could show the logical connections between concepts and provide links to relevant material.

It should give access / a snapshot of all the things embedded / hidden in the site. It does a wonderful job of that already imo.
I’d recommend making Live Chat more prominent though. Many people want help immediately with responses to statist questions but it isn’t worthy of a thread.
I would do it simarly to this: http://tweakers.net/ (which is a Dutch site for computer news)
This means that I would like to see one listing of new publications that the Mises Institute comes out with. So in that list go: Mises Dailys, Blog postings, Audio, Video, and possibly other stuff. They will be listed as date, time, title, author, type. Then at the top in a similar style to the current front page, important ones will be highlighted more elaborately. I guess the highlighting could stay the same as now, where the Mises Daily of that day is displayed.
Audio and other content that itself isn’t new (like audio books) doesn’t go in that list; only really new things.
There are a number of advantages of doing this. The main idea is that people have to look at only one list to see what is new. It makes it also more predictable when new things are coming out, and people will actually start following that. I think people use the blog for this function now and the main page loses its function.

This isn’t what you asked but I wish the forum was in a parent-child format.
When you click on an audio file from the front page it doesn’t tell you the folder in which it’s located.
So if I click on Jeff’s podcasts I should be able from there to find the folder where all of Jeff’s podcasts are by just clicking a link.
It’s a small thing but it’s something that has always annoyed me.

I’m not sure when, or to what degree, but it’s likely that MisesWiki will replace the literature and media sections. The actual files will still be hosted in whatever format, but they will be organized to the extent that they are described on the MisesWiki.
put a big blazin’ link directly to these forums on the front page.
