I am an Enemy of the State

Why would a middle class white boy grow up to be an enemy of the State?
That’s a question I have asked myself for years. It was not always the
case. I grew up like most people, waving the flag and brainlessly
regurgitating the mantra that is the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mike,

What made you go the other way? Did you see through the State’s propaganda? What made you turn to Anarcho-Capitalism?

I consider myself to be an anti-statist too… Governments should have a limited role. They don’t have to tell us how to spend our lives. Freedom of choice is the most noble right.

Hello my friend.

I was awakened by a good friend of mine that had been shown the Matrix many years before. (-;

Well Mikewasdin how do we break others from the matrix? How will we organise? When should we organise? Do you know of any good AnCap organisations? Mikewasdin, I hope you haven’t lost that fervor for liberty, because you have a new gung ho ally by your side! [li]

I belong to Mises and of course there is Strike-the-Root and Lew Rockwell. As far as good events the Freedom Summit is always good. As far as others are concerned, they are not really interested in freedom. This was shown when they had the chance to support Ron Paul and supported McCain and Obama instead. There will be no revolution, at least not any time soon as the sheep don’t want it. They are happy licking the hand of their master.

Not in the U.S perhaps. But we should we also focus on other countries as well. I mean this is a worldwide fight, and their are allies and opportinuties everywhere.

I have written articles on Strike-the-Root, Lew Rockwell and many other websites. All I know to do is try to educate the sheep. I keep a blog where I archive everything- www.mikewasdin.com

All I know to do is keep trying. We will never win until our numbers are larger, so keep getting the word out and try to educate as many as you can my friend.

Education is all well and good, but what about propaganda of the deed, forming organisations, hacktivism, and civil disobedience? This would greatly increase our recruitment drive and raise morale!

Oh if it were only thateasy my friend, lol. For years I and others have been shouting, but no one is listening. I have been part of one of the largestgathering of freedom minded people for years. We even have a yearly event called the Freedom Summit- http://www.freedomsummit.com/Past-Speakers.htm

Go to the link above and click on past speakers and see what kind of people have been there to speak, Harry Brown, Butler Shaffer, Lew Rockwell, Ron Paul and many others. You would think an event like this would attract tens of thousands of people and we would have to turn people away because we do not have the room…but no. Every year we had less and less people attending until we did not have even enough people to show up to pay for the event.

The problem is not that the people are not hearing the message, they hear it very well. It’s the message that they are rejecting. I wrote an article about this very subject- http://www.strike-the-root.com/81/wasdin/wasdin1.html

It’s the message that’s the prroblem, people do not want freedom,

This is very sobering and at the same time useful. It shows what is are immediate problem. We have to find a way for our small numbers to be heard outside of the fringe and at the same time latch on to movements which share our ideals somewhat, that way we can appeal to tenets of the larger movement and win them over. We also have to begin to define who our enemies our and how to fight them. Also feel free to add me as a friend, we all have to stick together. And tell me when the next Freedom Summit will be and where it will be held. [:D]

I would be honored to add you as a friend. I will put you on my email list Chris and keep you updated on future events for sure.

Mike

Oops sorry about that, I meant Nick (-;

I was talking to someone earlier on another list named Chris, sorry about that!

It’s okay Mike. And if I may make a suggestion, you should definitely post past summits (if you videotaped them of course) on YouTube. And also while I’m sure you’ve heard of many of these individuals, here are some to invite for the next Summit. Hope it helps:

David Director Friedman
Walter Block
Roderick T. Long
Hans-Hermann Hoppe
Bryan Caplan
Robert P. “Bob” Murphy
Stefan Molyneux
Wendy McElroy
M. Joseph Sobran, Jr.
Mark Thornton
Jeffrey Albert Tucker
Jeremy Sapienza
Joseph T. Salerno
Justin Raimondo
Jan Narveson
Carlo Lottieri
Norman (N.) Stephan Kinsella
Ian Freeman
Mark Edge
Gene Callahan

Most of these people have already been at the summit. Click on the link by year of past speakers and you will see who has already been there-

http://www.freedomsummit.com/Past-Speakers.htm

Ernie is the one responsible for marketing. He has a lot of videos on YouTube, but I don’t know why he does not have the Freedom Summit videos up-

You should definitely post on the general discussion. We can all work together to find a way to revive the Freedom Summit. [H]

“Those who support a coercive government are also welcome to attend and examine their views in light of the ideas and arguments presented.”

on freedom summit page lol

Why do you find this statement funny?

I had an idea. Maybe they reject the message because they are comfy being chained up in the cave.
