I can't seem to log into the chatroom with this account.

I just tried logging in. I was using it for a while. But now when I try to use the chatroom it says that I am logged in there and I need to use another nick-name since my username is already in use. What should I do?

Wait, never mind it seems to work now… but in the future if that happens what should I do?

Some other chatter on freenode might be using the same nickname. When you logon to the chat, you’re not logging in to a room on the mises domain; you’re logging on to a room on irc.freenode.net, and freenode has many different rooms.
