I miss the Trabant already!

Apparently P.U.M.A is a new joint project by GM and Segway. And will probably be pimped by GM to their government overlords as proof of their new green ways.

It’s basically a Segway with two seats and a roof. And slightly longer range. Sure, it’s fancy and new and will awe the politicians. But I’m left wondering why someone wouldn’t just buy a scooter. For less money you get something that has better range, is more convenient to park, is probably more reliable and they even make them electric if you insist on that. And there are probably models with roofs.

So they basically reinvented the wheel. And only for mere billions of dollars.

They already have that in Asia (goes to show you how far ahead of the curve the Asians are). It’s called a rickshaw.

I’m already missing the times when GM was producing actual vehicles.

The Twike has been available in europe for several years and is now in the USA. Features heman/electric powertrain and equivelent of 300-600 mpg. Can be hot rodded to exceed 65mph.

Great concept, would like to see more like them since this one is a little cheesy and overpriced.
