I think they are trying to do to Education what they did to Economics

Education is becoming more Fascist-like in the U.S. The Department of Education, and the NCLB mandates are enforcing on us(the students) on what WE have to learn, not what we want to learn. Learning, and education is becoming a tool of coercion, instead of being places of Academia. I mean, I miss the age where you could go to College, to be a scholar, otherwise you wouldn’t need to go to get a job. Its just Socialism in the making, eventually the state might choose who has to be an Engineer based on their scores for a test.

About my topic title though, it seems they are trying use statistical methods moreso for just about everything, in this case, scoring. Scoring from things like the SAT, Standardized testing, ect. They are trying to graph our intelligence and utility of learning by economic calculation. I don’t like it. I’m going to school to be a Professor/Academian and publisher. That should be my experience, because I want to do it, not my quality based on state testing and statistics compared to everyone else.

Standardized Testing in public schools doesn’t do anything for the students, most of them hate it. However, their “intelligence” is being based off of statistical units like scores and grades. The free will should determine what one does with their pursuit of life, not f’ing numbers!

The standardized tests are the least of my worries. The public school system is pure indoctrination, from start to finish. It’s like the ghost of Marx roams the hallways of every university/public school. Never mind the fact that they drug up and isolate all “troubled” students.
