"If you want to build a ship, don’t herd people together to collect wood and don’t assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea." -Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Good quote and good story. There is definiantly a correlation with AE and RP leading one to a major “AH HA!” moment (self included). One reason why it may be worth supporting RP if he runs again in '12; not neccasarily because you believe in his ideas anymore or government, etc, but because of the effectivness he has proven to lead people on a journey of self-discovery and self clarification.
Also, Cabal, you have to understand that people were not born statists. These ideas were inculcated in them over time. What is learned can be unlearned, given the right approach.
People have to want to learn something before they’ll give it any proper attention.
As for RP, as much as I support him, he’s made it clear he really does not want to run in 2012. He hasn’t said no yet because he doesn’t want to disappoint others, but from his own mouth you can tell he really doesn’t want to run at all; and I don’t blame him.
