Quote by JakobM"There’s nothing wrong with my mind. Drop the condescending tone.
And then prove that religious scams are not scams. And stop pretending that you are above common mortals…unless you think that hearing voices in your head makes you ‘special’ (as opposed to simply delusional)."
Didn’t mean to come out and offend you, honestly, sorry if I sounded like I was condescending. But when I say you can’t wrap your mind around that concept that doesn’t mean you’re stupid or anything like that. I meant that you cannot comprehend the concept because you haven’t felt it. I didn’t understand it either until I did.
I told you over and over I’m not armed with logical proofs for God, I feel that its something you have to be emotionally connected to. lol, I told you I’m not hearing voices in my head, so I already know you don’t have any idea of what I’m talking about when I said I “felt” God. So can you agree with that? I never said I’m hearing voices in my head, silly. Its really hard to describe when something like this happens- I used to have no belief in God either, even though I was raised Muslim I rejected it growing up because it felt like bullshit to me. It has nothing to do with feeling “special”, or anything like that. Its a humbling experience I don’t think of myself as better than you or anyone else. I didn’t say I’m better than you or above common mortals, you’re just putting words in my mouth because from what it sounds like, you are personally offended by the idea of God. What am I supposed to do about that?
Quote by JakobM “False. Stop lying.”
Nope. Its true. What do I have to gain by lying about it. It doesn’t matter to me whether you believe in God or not, or why you think people came to believe in God or not. That’s how you feel.
Quote by JakobM:Proofs please. I can believe anything I want, but this is not about ‘believing’ but about proving certain claims.
I want genuine proofs. Provide them or admit you are a liar."
Its not gonna happen man, at least I won’t be providing any logical proofs and i’ve said that a bunch of times so whats the point in repeating that question. I’m telling you here and now, that if you want to know about the existence of God you have to let go of your ego and open your heart and you’ll be able to feel that divine tranquility, one of the paths(although not exactly voluntary) to get to that state of mind and feeling is to go through intense mental suffering, so bad that the ego is shattered and acceptance of reality comes about…if that makes any sense. You have to completely let go of “thinking”- be able to empty your mind so there’s no more mental chatter about anything…and you are just “being”. That might sound like “Just sitting around doing nothing” but its not.
Lol this probably all sounds like some esoteric mumbo jumbo but that was my experience- and I completely understand if you don’t relate to it or really care about that. But I emphasize that its something that must be felt. Its really hard for me to describe it myself because it makes less sense when I try to put it into words. Anyway, I don’t think you’ll accept any of what I said because it conflicts with how you view the world. That’s why I don’t think there’s any point or think you want genuine answers. It sounds like you just wanna be able to say “YEP YOU’RE ALL LIARS. WHERE ARE MY PROOFS?”. I mean more than once you said that I was hearing voices in my head when I never said I did…why did you think I was hearing voices? What are you trying to accomplish? If you don’t think there’s a God and that makes you happy then be happy man.
If you’re upset because people have tried to shove religion down your throat and you’re sick of hearing about it- I understand and people shouldn’t be doing that anyway.
