The presence is illegal, but killing troops is still evil and is usually done to hurt the United States. At what point did I say that legitimate self-defense war has occurred? And of course I mean self-defense war and not interventionist war. Do not make up straw men to argue with me.

The United States is on another’s property with the intent of surpressing them. For all intents and purposes, those killing Americans (it can be argued) are doing so in self-defense.

A US soldier standing in your yard is not there to suppress you, here’s there to make your community more safe, and self-defense applies to the individual and not the community. Killing US soldiers, like making sanctions, is generally an act of war.
Then why do you care? Obviously, I am not considering you out as the only taxpayer. I am talking about all taxpayers. The money will be collected irregardless.
I am considering it from the perspective that the money could either go to one public good or it could go to another one. As a taxpayer, I rather consider that my money was the money going to him for his survival as oppose to, say, a bomb. This is especially true if he’s in the Air Force and working a job that does not go to combat (the majority of Air Force jobs).

You make the assumption that he will be going to combat. Not all soldiers go to combat, especially in the Air Force.
Have you considered the Coast Guard? The police?
