Regardless of who gets control, republicans or democrats, one thing seems to remain the same: unconstitutional law, executive order after another unconstitutional law, executive order.
At this point, instead of debating these unconstituional laws, and trying to fight the federalization that seems to be happening in local infrasturcure and local police departments, etc, would it just be better to have your state secede?

The Federal gov’t, relative to State gov’ts, was considerably less powerful than it is today.
According to the Constitution, this should not have happened - but if they’d always followed that document, the world would be a much different place than it is now.

I am not sure. We may not have any for all I know. But I am sure there are nuclear weapons stored in places on U.S. soil, and those states that have them could appropriate them if they wanted to secede. The question is what would it take to get them to work?
Not if the state has nuclear weapons that it can use.

From a purely technical viewpoint. If a state did secede and used its National Guard to seize nuclear weapons silos from the Federal Government. The weapons and missiles would be useless to them. The detonation codes are embedded into the triggering mechanism. It would take years trying to use computers to crack the detonation codes. The only option would be to dismantle the warheads and replace the trigger mechanisms, an action that would take weeks. I don’t think the states in question would have HOURS let alone WEEKS to do this. For all intents and purposes, any nuclear weapons would be useless if captured.
No state, trying to seceed, would be silly enough to use a nuculear weapon even if they could. They would want goodwill and allies, not everyone in the world annoyed with them.
Our actual best bet, at this point, would be to either force the federal government to follow the Constitution to the letter, or capture the leprechaun and get his pot of gold.

That is what I do not know. I wonder what it would take for a state government to appropriate any nuclear arsenal on its land? States are part of the Federal government. The troops that serve the federal government come from states. I am sure the nuclear arsenal is guarded just fine against foreigners, but I am not sure about how it is safe-guarded from governors…
