John Maynard Keynes vs. Adam Smith - mental_floss matchup

Please, everyone, go vote. But, most especially, go comment. I’d love to read everyone’s arguments.

I love the first sentence under Keynes’s description:

“When laissez-faire economists fell flat on their face in the late 1920s…”

LAWL.

What a shame its Keynes vs. Smith.

Some “tournament of genius.”

I’m not sure what government has to do to the market and our money before people stop calling it a free market.

mental_floss is becoming a wildly popular magazine, so that’s the only reason I informed you guys of this. I don’t want new readers of the magazine to read only rubbish of the pseudo-intellectuals whom frequent the blog.

By the way, I’m sorry if that was a lame initial comment of mine on the board. But, I’m a longtime reader of the site; I’m a student at the University of Georgia and I am strongly considering applying at the Mises Institute for grad school.

Indeed.

Whenever one has the chance to propogate the teachings of Austrian economics, it is not a lame comment.

that’s weird, I tried to vote and comment but neither seemed to go through [:(]

Fakename, it should be working now.

Neither of whom were geniuses really.
