lewis lehrman and gold

I wonder whether Lewis Lehrman is for a free market gold standard or a pseudo government gold standard. He doesn’t call for getting rid of the central bank, and how can you support private mints but force them to adjust their currencies to some artificial value set by the government?

i.e. set the price of gold at 1500 dollars an oz (steve forbes). I also think steve forbes is opposed to true free market money and supports a pseudo gold standard. Why are both Lehrman and Forbes calling for price fixing with regards to a currency’s value? Lehrman also calls for fixed exchange rates? Again, isn’t this a form of price fixing? Bretton Woods broke down because gold was set at 35 dollars an oz and the debts became greater than the amount of gold the US had in settling debts with other nations.

Besides others here and Ron Paul, who else truly supports free market money?
