For first time I leave my country to visit U.S., you don’t have an idea of what hard is for my having neither a couple of friends to dialog about the authors like De Molinari, Bastiat, Spooner or Spencer. So I will appreciate a lot to share some friendly moments with libertarians specially because I have in mind emigrate from Argentina but I don’t know where, I got a Spanish citizenship witch it could help in Europe, but I’m dreaming with living in NH and be part of FSP (The Free State Project)

Be prepared to have an eye scan taken while signing away all your rights upon entering the U.S.A. You’ll get asked personal questions without being told what are your rights to not answer.
Moreover, you’ll be checked at every monument you want to visit and ironically, twice at the statue of liberty. (They have some kind of machine there that tests for explosives by blowing some kind of air.)
Visiting the land of the free might not be the libertarian experience you’re hoping for. It certainly wasn’t for me.

I was hoping to meet some libertarians and I only got 4 socialist manifestations in different parks of the city, a encouraging experience…
In my time there I met a lot of academics of Stony Brook because my friend is studying something about the evolution of fishes in the marine department, and I also talked to a lot of people in the LIRR train and in the subway or in the street, every time and every where I could, I talk to people. I only found a lot of persons believing in flip-flap things just like here in Argentina. A lot religious quasi-fanatics, people respecting academics, big schooles and monuments. I feel that the institutions there were pretty the same that here in Argentina, with the difference that here is more notorious that the system doesn’t work. Here is so common that a lot of people tell that politics is a crap, and there is all about theft. Here many people know the basics about inflation, and that you cannot put your savings in paper money. Here the government do many stupid things all the time and they are such ass holes that is easier to catch it.
The question is why here a lot of people keep dreaming with another new government of good and honest ones? Why is so difficult that anybody start with the idea of no state or even less state? There is an indoctrination problem since a child is born in a family with a religion and they send him to school asap, here and there is basically the same.
There, the government could give the impresion that work, so I prefer the argentinean way.
I’m happy of been here, I think that the states will not have a prosperous future, because there is really a few libertarians, but a fcuking lot of socialism, it is a sea of lies.
Of course, I’m talking conserning only to my experience of 19 days in nyc, I know that the states is really bigger than that, anyway, in general it sucks!
