Libertarian Tumblr

Hey everyone,

I’m not trying to self-adverstise or anything, but I just started up this new Tumblr where I’ll be posting my newspaper columns but they’ll be in the original form I wrote them in. When I want to write out my feelings, especially when it comes to important topics, I just use stream-of-consciousness. And then I read over my main points and write another formal, classy column. But anyway, I figured you all could check it out and see if it’s a cool idea. Most kids my age don’t read the newspaper, so I figured a Tumblr with ‘inappropriate’ wording and everything will catch their attention maybe. Okay, thank you!

The title of your Tumblr may catch some young folk’s attention.

‘Classyness’ and that title don’t go together. The posts are pretty vulgar, too. Frankly, if their attention can’t be captured with cogent arguments, I wonder if you shouldn’t just let them grow up first so that they can handle more than family guy-esque vocabulary.

Yeah, that’s definitely what I’m hoping for.

@Mr. Schnapps, it’s supposed to be vulgar. The “classy” column goes in the newspaper, like I said. Trust me, the people around me in college are much more likely to read something vulgar and on the internet. That’s why I did it. Why would I wait until they grow up and I might not be around to introduce them to these concepts?

Not just young people, but I find different groups of people have different uses of vocabulary. I find that the labor force I am in use expletives quite often.

Language is communication, the grammar/style is subjective. Different communication styles is important imo to conveying information to different cultures.

Edit:

Just two articles?

Thank you for saying that. I really agree. I don’t mean any offense to the people I’m writing for, but they aren’t too intelligent right now when it comes to politics. I just happened to get involved before they do, so I’m hoping they’ll get involved quicker if I can convey certain messages to them.

Yeah, for now. I deleted all of my old columns after I edited them to ‘newspaper format’, so I’ll be keeping them from now on. Thanks again for reading!
