If it ends with .gov. It must be trustworthy. Anybody can put anything on a .com site. But a .gov site there’s a lot of screenwork to be had before hand. Or at least that’s what our overlords at the public school tell us every day.

What horrid designs on these ones. They look straight out of Geocities-era design standards.

Being governement sponsored is very easy and was very tempting until I realised what I was getting into.
My friend is starting a website that promotes helping kids on drugs, and the governement is offering him a great ammount of people’s taxes.

I suppose, but in the end it doesn’t mean anything. It takes longer to build a good reputation with a .com I suppose, people would rather trust a .gov more then a .com. Most good website bussiness are non-governement.
Good thing the Nazis couldn’t exploit the Internet too.

It might be quicker and easier to list the useful government websites. The only time i have used a government website is to get a phone number so that i could contact them about paying taxation.

I just wanted to point out how many government websites there actually are. not like the normal ones, like irs.gov…
but these wierd, new ones. anytime you see the first lady talking about eating healthy, there’s probably 5-10 websites built for that campaign…like nutrition.gov, letsmove.gov…a slew of them.

Their nutrition websites say protein is not an important part of sports diets, and that americans already get enough protein.
