This was written in 1978. Any book of this type has come out in the past 33 years?? I don’t seem to find any book by Rothbard except “What has government done to our money” , but the book still is not full-blown enough in my opinion. Please help. Thanks!!
Yeah I understand you were interesting in a focus on international banking, but while these do focus mostly on our own centralized system, they will definitely help you in the right direction. Also check out this recommended reading list from Ron Paul. You might find something in there that gets close to what you’re looking for.
In my opinion, the book is more on the domestic side than the international side, such as exchange rates and power politics. To put it this way, I am looking for something similar to “Super Imperialism” by Michael Hudson (I do not have enough econ knowledge and background to fully absorb his book), but written in a more Rothbardian way, which starts from ground up and is always crystal clear.
Yeah I think if you get through Mystery of Banking you might actually be able to tackle Super Imperialism. But definitely check out that recommended reading list above for more works to help you with monetary and banking theory. And if you’re looking for more econ education be sure to check out this list. (Depending on how far along you are, you might check out a few of the writings about the school, then look through the recommended reading lists…and definitely check out the Mises Classroom.)
