Wow, I bought mine new two years ago and it was only $35. Is it out of print? You can buy it off me for $99 (shipping included).
I bought a new copy for like $35 off of Amazon ago only like a few months. Weird.
Hm…well maybe I’ll check Amazon frequently. Google Shopping has some links marked as cheap, but they aren’t after you click the link.
I’d be willing to pay like $50 now if someone wants to get rid of theirs, but as time goes on that figure will likely go up.

I think this might be an older version. I suggest looking on ebay for a printed copy, as I must admit, 50 is too much.

It’s the 2nd edition, 133 pages. not sure if the page number is different than the actual book because of differences in the text, or the pdf pages hold more text.

Bump: The publisher has allowed David Friedman to upload the entire 2nd edition of The Machinery of Freedom. The formatting isn’t very elegant, but at least it’s easily available. PDF here and MobiPocket e-book file here.
Friedman has also announced that he’s working on a third edition.
I got mine for 20 bucks off amazon, great book, enjoy.
I really enjoy David Friedman. I keep hoping Mises Brazil will post his and Patri’s presentations from their recent conference.
