i thought that thing about rapper’s delight was pretty awesome (i never knew that same beat popped up in so many songs).
I don’t think it really says much about hollywood’s stance toward IP though. I mean, there is a pretty clear difference between borrowing visual or story elements from previous works and selling pirated dvds.
PS* Nero, word. It is maybe even more similar to Fern Gully (sp). But there are plenty of movies that follow a similar plot line. Personally, I see James Cameron’s pitch meeting going like this…“It’s like Dances with Wolves…BUT IN SPACE!!!”
I personally refer to the movie as “Dances with Blue People”.
