Either it’s me being lazy or I genuinely can’t find an answer via articles, but here we go:

Let’s say, for example, it’s snowing out. The snow-plowing company sends its plows out and cleans the roads. But who pays them? If they were hired by the city, the city would pay them, but where would the city get the money? I’m trying to think of an answer that doesn’t involve “taxes.”

Seems like a fairly simple question but I can’t think of an answer at the moment.

Who pays them without tax money? Nobody would pay to plow public roads, except maybe Bill Gates.

Alright I think I have an answer now.

The roads would have to be private, correct? That way, the company or general owners of the road(s) would be able to set up a contract with a snow-plowing company and pay them with the money collected from the people using the roads (via tolls or however the company charges it’s customers).

Is that correct?
