I recently discovered Instituto Ludwig von Mises Brasil has a pretty sizable collection of videos on their youtube channel, including some good lectures from a recent conference they held in May featuring speakers Walter Block, Philipp Bagus, Peter Schiff, Jeffrey Tucker and others.
I figured it was definitely worth a plug. Of course many (if not most) of their videos are in English, but of course subtitled in Portugese for the Brazilian audience. The website also has an English version as well. Great stuff there. Definitely spread the word to any Portugese speakers, and check out the Mises Global list for sites to other foreign Mises Institutes that you can turn people on to. These are great resources as they can offer a local (and of course more language-friendly) headquarters for these ideas…spreading them literally all over the world.
Spread the word.
P.S.
Check out the image for one of their reprints of Lew’s article:
hahaha damn, what a shame, I pretty much became a libertarian thanks to Mises Brasil (I’m brazilian). I’m a libertarian for about an year now and I didn’t know of the existence of this channel. Mises Brasil is indeed really good, I follow theirs and Mises Institute’s daily articles, well, daily. Often times a share their articles in Facebook (brazilian friends). I figured it wouldn’t be so useful to promote them here, then again, I didn’t know about the YT Channel. Any way, the job is done. Thanks for the info.
I don’t think there could have been a more perfect vindication for my inclination to create this thread.
You should definitelycontact them and share that anecdote with them. Let them know that they are missing out on a whole host of potential subscribers to their channel by not having a link on their main website. Encourage them to put up the social media buttons like on the main mises.org page.
I shot them a message, explaining and making the suggestion. I sent them the link to this thread as well (they all probably know english, in addition, Leandro Roque, their translator and editor, is VERY knowledgeable in economics). When/If they respond me I’ll report it here.
Edit: There is the multimedia section, but there lies only a fraction of the amount of videos that the YT Channel has.
