Sounds good, Nielsio. I haven’t been around much because I’ve been in the hospital getting a bajillion surgeries, but congrats on the moderator status (if it’s new).

I’m really looking forward to the lecture by Ronald Hamowy. He was one of the youngest members in the Mont Pelerin society, and studied under Hayek and Berlin personally. Plus, he’s up in my neck of the woods.

We need more libertarians in Canada.

I have talked to walter block about bitcoin and he gave me these reasons why he doesn’t consider it money: it is not a commodity, it is not widely accepted, and exchanging fiat for bitcoin does not mean it’s money. He gave this example to explain the last reason: you can’t just go to walmart, buy a monopoly board game, and consider the paper money in the game as money. I haven’t talked to hulsmann about it yet, I will talk to him today.

Well our questions and their answers aren’t recorded..the economists here also give lectures like in the library of bookstore that aren’t recorded at all. The reason for that is because those lectures arent in the schedule. So yes, all lectures in the schedule are recorded but those aren’t the only lectures

In prior years all scheduled lectures where audio recorded but only some video recorded. So this is a great advancement.

Agreed! I got half my family watching it with me. Or rather, Tom Woods’ charisma, humor, and sincerity drew them in.

I have watched several lectures, and most of the time the ads weren’t too disruptive and I could still follow the chain of reasoning. But with Woods’ speech, a 20 second ad meant you missed three jokes!
