I performed a page search for the string “censor”; it appears twice: here and here. Both occurrences are authored by nirgrahamUK, and nowhere in the two
pages of this thread do I see anyone accusing the moderators of “censoring.” What I do see is you accusing others of doing this, and it’s a false
accusation. For the record, I never accused the moderators of “censoring.”

I’m trying very hard to communicate something that I feel is an important issue, and you respond this way.
You have made up your mind that I am wrong, you are right, that you need no longer consider the issue, so you mock me.

The above exchange suggest to me that, while you have may have heard me, you have not understood. For example, why do you suggest to me that I “would
like it less”? There are several problems here:

1. You don’t know that I would “like it less”; this is your assumption only.
2. You are also assuming that I “don’t like” your responses to me.
3. You are assuming that you know, not only what my values are, but the values of others posters as well. Bolstered with the confidence these assumptions
   engender, you push the ban button.
   I’m disappointed that I’ve failed to communicate with you, but failure to communicate is an old familiar friend to me. At least I have the opportunity to keep
   trying, which is more than you gave Giles.

I’ve lost some respect for you as well, but I’ve learned something about you. To me, that’s a good trade.

What have you lost? You have lost the assurance that, in the future, posters (including myself) will be perfectly blunt and frank with you, or even with anyone
else. What have you gained? “Civility.” Hopefully, to you, that is also a good trade.

3. when it comes down to it I assume I know the values that Lilburne and Jeffrey Tucker wish the forum’s to express. If I am consistently wrong they will see
   to it that I stop moderating.
