A guy by the name of “aloookz” is arguing a point I haven’t heard before- that money has intersubjective value and therefore if one buys a TV for $200 and re-sells it for $1000- this is how the wealthy steal from the poor because one has raised the price by $800 without doing anything of value. He states here to the response that money also has subjective value-
:"- That’s not possible. For if currency had only subjective value, there would be no way to grasp its worth, it would be nonsense to say currency has subjective value as a trade item, and also can be traded for X amount of goods and services. How could it’s trade value be subjective yet also be set? "
Is there a certain school of thought where this idea of money comes from?
These YouTube guys are mostly fruitcakes, which was why it was nice to see Thors unpolished, emotive video. It was edgy, intelligent, disrespectful and sincere.
Value is subjective. So how has anything been “stolen”? Who cares if “effort” has been put in or not? Does the client value it? Yes? Well then it’s valued. Quel horreur!
It’s definitely the camel nose that makes him creepy. Anyway, not many people, with the exception of Buddhagem and his ilk, take him seriously anymore. Hopefully it will stay that way.
Maybe one day I’ll give a whole Youtube video devoted to me. That’ll give me all the attention you were talking about in the other day, I’ll be sure to put it on my CV.
There is also a video on BP’s channel about it IIRC. It was in Jan 2009.
I can see the LLs collectively clucking their tongues, sucking their teeth and rolling their eyes as they bob their heads in agreement at how vulgar you are.
On the new vid posted by Nick above, around the 4 minute mark, mr1001blights states,“Now do you honestly believe that famous towering economist like Ricardo and Karl Marx …”
He then points to his link here, then defines the Labor theory of value as, “… the long term relationship between the price of a capitalist commodity and its production price and the role of , er, this price in determining supply and demand.” Then with a smug congratulatory grins urges his viewers to study the matter deeply on their own.
He then claims that Austrian economics is based on insane assumptions which can be debunked by this link.
Besides his obvious warped logic and seduction to Marx, his appearance still disturbs me the most, seems like he wants to cry between every sentance, perhaps he was abused by a tyranical capitalist dad who owned a convienence store? I could see him washing the store’s toilet with his own toothbrush and just boiling inside against capitalism
Think I’ll subscribe to his channel for a little bit just for some humor. Perhaps we should coordinate a massive comment or video reply bombing on his vids in the near future?
