Please, tell me if this is accurate, and if there’s any logic that should be corrected.
"Do you get pretty depressed when you see the amount of money you lose on your weekly paycheck after all the Taxes have been deducted? I sure did when I worked. It was pretty discouraging to see the majority of my money, which I had worked for be stripped away by the government.
We’re often told that the Social Security Tax, Medicare, and Income Tax are for a greater good, and to reject this ideas to be cold hearted, and careless about helping other people. The justification for these taxes is that they all go toward programs that help people. If these programs are so helpful, then why are there issues over our health costs, and social security money? In truth, these Government run programs have shown to be ineffective, and with the current Social Security crisis, how is it charitable to continue paying taxes on an ineffective program when you could otherwise be earning more?
These programs would be better off under privatized industries, but that is another subject.
Additionally, minimum wage laws make it difficult for inexperienced workers to find labor, since you are unable to negotiate for less. If these minimum wage laws are supposed to promote equality, then why are Business’ cutting their employee hours and staff to maintain their budget? Minimum wage laws were first established to make sure hard working citizens aren’t being ripped off for their labor. If this was true, then illegal immigrants wouldn’t be taking jobs because they are willing to work for less.
Currently, Federal Minimum Wage is 7.28/ho. Which is supposed to help the hard working middle class make more money.
Lets say there wasn’t minimum wage laws, and you could negotiate for a job at your local grocery store for $5/ho? Is it really that little?
My mom works as a cashier, full-time. Often she works 6 hours a day, amounting to a total of 40 hours a week.
This would be her weekly income on $5/ho without any taxes.
40h x $5 = $200 a week.
Now we know this is a lot less after the deduction of taxes.
Currently she makes 8.50/ho, and I did the math and it comes out to be the same after all the taxes have been deducted, and rounded to the nearest hundrenth.
If its wrong to be unhappy about paying taxes because you should be generous of other people, then it must also be wrong when customer’s voluntarily award waiters/waitress’ for their hardwork through Tips, which are then taxed.
The Income Tax pays for The Federal War on Drugs, The Global War on Terror, and Homeland Security. Which are currently the 3 highest of the budget. Another big factor are salaries for Politicians. It sounds right to pay politicians for their hardwork of Governing us eh?
The IRS, is actually very similar to the income the Soviets had to oppress its own people, and then King’s to plunder money from their hardworking citizens.
Why should The Government get the first licks of the reward for any hard working American? In history, this resembles Fascism and tyranny. Even now, the money lost on our paychecks continues to be spent on an increasing Federal budget deficit.
I trust the individual consumer with more money, then our Government which has shown wasteful spending, immense federal debt, bailouts, ineffective wars, and budget deficit."
