In considering this thread, and doing a little Wikipedia reading I found this quote from Hitler:
“I want everyone to keep what he has earned, subject to the principle that the good of the community takes priority over that of the individual. But the State should retain control; every owner should feel himself to be an agent of the State … The Third Reich will always retain the right to control property owners.”
It made me realize what I suspect the main distinction is between “late Nazism” (Nazism as Hitler developed it) and Marxism.
In Marxism, the people ostensibly own the state, and the state owns the property.
In Nazism, the state owns the people, and the people ostensibly own the property.
For anyone interested in further reading, see specifically “Socialism in Russia and in Germany” starting on p. 55. The insight and precision displayed by Mises here once again goes to prove that he is simply a CHAMP.

Jonah Goldberg’s book “Liberal Fascism” highlighted the connection between fascism and the left. Good Read, although the author is hardly a libertarian in any respect.
Same thing, different rhetoric. A robber that wants people to keep what they earn, except when he wants to buy something. I’m pretty sure a Marxist also doesn’t care what you keep until he wants to buy something.
