In another thread, I mentioned how one left-anarchist didn’t want anarcho-capitalism to be defined as anarchism because it does not defy hierarchy necessarily, only monopolized hierarchy necessarily. So, I say let them have their cake and eat it too! This person suggested we call ourselves “ultra capitalists.”

Even though I agree the term has a nice ring to it, I don’t think the term Ultra-Capitalists is a good idea since the mayority of the people sees capitalism as corporatism.
I think ‘Anarchism’ is just fine, since it is defined as a political theory favoring the abolition of governments. It has nothing to do with the abolition of hierarchy, and everything to do with the abolition of the state.
If i reallt had to think of a substute term, I’d go with State-Abolitionism; It has a positive sound to it, and since the term was used to end race-slavery, it can be used once again to end tax-slavery.
I think voluntaryist or ancap is good enough. Frankly, we should chill out with the labels, considering there is so many already for one position:

Don’t forget about Rothbardian, Hoppean, paleolibertarian, etc. Too many labels. I’m sure in 40 years a modified version of Rothbard’s philosophy will come about called “neo-Rothbardianism”
And I agree that capitalism does have a negative connotation with it, unfortunately. Can’t figure out why exactly; I think if people understand the mutual benefits of trade, they’d be more receptive to it, but they only think of it in terms of exploitation.

I remember LibertyStudent said something about surpassing Rothbard’s ideas. It makes sense. Ideology can stay firmly routed to it’s core values but still evolve.
You also missed there is a chicago ancap, so chicagoite, or friedmanite? I’m very fond of David Friedman’s ideas as well.
Ultracapitalist sounds unnecessary to me, and probably frightening to anyone slightly left and beyond. That’s why I prefer using voluntaryism, not that I am ashamed of being a capitalist, it just rids itself from the negative connotation of anarchy and capitalism.

**State-Abolitionism**
People might not understand that term, requiring you to explain it. And if - or once - they do, they might consider your fancy way of saying “anarchist” as pretentious and/or being ashamed to tell it like it is. Yes, anarchism and capitalism carry negative implications due to being misunderstood, but I don’t see how using fancy terminology to convey the same meaning is any improvement.
