The drinking mate comment was scathing. This guy is great, although infatuated with democracy and other such futile concepts.

I do. I have an issue with all politicians. But I love this guy lambasting these clowns and showing them up for the turds that they are.
Farage is a democrat and a politician, but he’s not much different than Ron Paul. He had a successful private sector career before politics and he has stepped down once from his party to let someone else lead.
Farage may well be a politician holding back on the full extent of his libertarianism, though. UKIP is trying to establish itself in the UK as a “respectable” party, so it can’t afford to advocate full-blown libertarian policies, but I am sure as it gains traction it might alter its policy objectives. Already it is the most libertarian of the UK political parties by a long-shot, and this is in a country where the philosophy of freedom is not very palatable, to say the least.
I like farage but it pales in comparison to my man crush on Daniel Hannan 
Liberty Student, I thought the British Ron Paul was Daniel Hannan - the man who told Gordon Brown, “You have diverted resources from the productive sector to the unproductive sector.”
Actually, the common thing about both Hannan and Farage is that they both have led diatribes against Brown in the MEP, and both have faced Brown laughing it all off as they deride him. I am guessing neither two is well established in politics, which is why Brown could afford not to care what they thought. But I did get the sense it was nervous laughter…
I am not too impressed by Hannan. Obama is a great orator too.
I couldn’t agree with you on Farage more. Beholding his scathing criticisms is at the same time both wildly entertaining and philosophically satisfying.
