Correction: He was redeeming. That was published in 1997. He is still a socialist.

I’m not saying I’m a fan and likely disagree with ninety-nine percent of the stuff he writes, but I’m sure there are exceptions like the piece I linked to.

I saw Stiglitz on television last week, in a news story, commenting on the troubles in the financial markets. He essentially argues that “Wall Street greed” and lack of regulation are wholly to blame. A shockingly facile assessment from someone of such renown.

So, mark a “no” for Stiglitz. He’s up to his eyeballs in Keynsian wrongheadedness. Seriously.
