I found an academic paper that predicted the 2008 real estate bust in 1997. Has anyone found anything earlier than that? I am only counting ones that name 2008 as the year not the ones that say “in the next few years” or “soon”. The article I am refering too is called The Business Cycle: A Georgist-Austrian Synthesis by Fred E. Foldvary. It appeared in the American Journal of Economics and Sociology.
