P2P Crackdown

Is it just me or are they cracking down on the internet?

Sunday airs: family guy, american dad, and metalocalypse.

I’ve been looking for these episodes and I had a hard time finding them on the usual websites. At the moment, the easiest place to watch them is on Hulu which is a legal site.

I actually can’t track down dethhealth anywhere… All the video links have been taken down. And this is what? An adult-swim cartoon that is getting taken down so quickly. WTSO.net and WXO have apparently lost one of their main video hosts. So most of their links to old shows have been broken for about a month.

I looked around and I found this. But I can’t find any general statistics on file-hosts taking down their content.

Back to torrenting for my warez now huh… The internet is no longer safe for websites. Uncle sam just wants me to check yahoo mail, read a couple of front line stories on cnn.com, update my status on facebook, and browse amazon.

Which is pretty much what most people want to do. :frowning:

They will never be able to stop it.

Unless some guy looks over my shoulder when I walk around with a USB thumbstick.

On a side note, what about ad-hoc encrypted(VPN) networks? How would they know what we are transferring?

Right they can’t hit the underground but direct websites seem to be getting hit.

Im looking for more information on this phenomenon.

So, there’s been no cracking down on p2p actually. Though of course ISPs can shut down p2p anytime they feel like it.

My university network is VPN

I’ve had an FCC agent staying at my house permanently over the last few weeks. He holds a gun to my head whenever I try use my DVR to fast-forward through the commercials… [:P]
